ACCEPTANCE

SATURDAY SATURATION

Acceptance

Have you found yourself feeling insecure about who you are? Are you under the impression that you have to reach a certain level of accomplishment in order to be accepted by others? If so, let this message be the catalyst of change in the way you experience validation.

Acceptance or validation, is not only based upon how others view you, but, more importantly, how you view yourself and others. By definition, it is “the act of accepting with approval; favorable reception.”
If you spend most of your mental energy thinking negatively about yourself, wondering if you are good enough for the job, the spouse, the career, the love etc., then you need a Radical Shift in the way that you see yourself. This type of thinking is often a result of unhealthy comparison. Did you know that you are not to be compared to anyone? You were so intricately made that no one on earth has the same finger print or voice that you have. There may be many imitations of you, but, make no mistake about it, you cannot be duplicated.

Whether you realize it or not, how you receive others, is often a reflection of how well you accept yourself. Acceptance has a lot to do with receiving. The next time you are presented with a gift of any kind, make a mental note of how you felt when you received it. Did you feel inadequate or as if you didn't deserve it? I'm not talking about being arrogant, but instead, being confident. So, if you believe that you are valuable, worthy and acceptable, then that is what you will project to the people around you. Having this level of freedom within, will give you a healthy outlook on life and directly enhance your ability to receive others. Learn to accept the unique you, adored you, gifted you, validated you!

THOUGHTS FOR MEDITATION:
You Have Already Been Accepted...

“ to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which he made us accepted in the beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6 NKJV)

"Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding." (2 Corinthians 10:12 NSV)
