JANUARY JEWELS: Worship

Worship Isaiah 6:3 NKJV
"And one cried to another and said:  holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!"

Today let's focus on the subject and substance of worship. More specifically, our worship of God. The SUBJECT of our worship, God, is so worthy of it that there is a full staff of angels in heaven called seraphim, who were created for the sole purpose of celebrating his majesty! They constantly fill heavens atmosphere with words of affirmation and awe about how wonderful God is. This brings me to the point that, when we speak of him, there should be a notable, weighty and obvious difference in how much we respect and love him, that no one could assume that we were speaking of someone else.

Now this brings in the significance of the SUBSTANCE of our worship! True worship is not just verbal assent that we speak but the substance of our heart and spirit, being expressed to God. In fact, when we worship, an excessive admiration for him, exudes from our spirit. We cannot truly worship him if the substance (spirit) of who we are is not involved in the process; which means that we must dedicate our very life as an expression of worship, not just our words. He deserves ALL of you! Your attention, your time, your affection, your lifestyle should all be indications of how much you love him! We are literally living in the days that Jesus talked about in John 4:23 when he said that the days would come, when the true worshippers would worship the Father in spirit and in truth.
WORSHIP him with the substance of your life and you will experience his presence upon you in a powerful new ways.
