SATURDAY SATURATION: ABIDING

John 15:7 NKJV

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Have you ever had a moment in time where you experienced something that brought so much joy to you that you didn't want the moment to end? That is how your experience with God is designed to be. A never ending, constant, perpetual exchange of his reassurance that you are inseparable from him. There is something so emphatically pure about "abiding" in him that it creates within your soul, a desire to know him. Knowing his thoughts, his plans and his presence becomes a joy instead of a chore.

If you are struggling with your commitment to Christ, the heart of the matter is that somewhere your focus shifted from him being the center of your joy. Perhaps you forgot the "moments" that you had with him that you never wanted to end. I encourage you to turn your attention back to the lover of your soul, Jesus Christ, and abide in Him. Watch him give you the desires of your heart.
