Secrets of The Kingdom of God

Have you ever shared a secret with a friend or someone you trusted? What caused you to want to tell them the secret as opposed to a stranger or someone with whom you did not have a relationship? I would say that most of us share secrets with people, who we believe we can trust, share our joy and would highly value what we shared.

In this season, the God of heaven and earth is revealing His kingdom secrets to those who will highly value what he says, and follow the truths that are hidden in the secrets that he whispers in our hearts. This reminds me of how Jesus interacted with his disciples. When he wanted to give them kingdom secrets, although surrounded by the crowds of people who followed him, for different reasons, he would tell them stories filled with hidden, kingdom secrets.

On one occasion, he told them a story about a farmer who sowed seed in his field. The seed fell in three different places within his field. Each place represented different types of soil (ground). One particular type of soil, as Jesus explained, was "good soil". This soil received the seed and produced a great harvest. Luke 8:15 describes it this way: "And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God's Word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest."

I won't go into depth about the condition of the soil, but my point here is to adjust our lenses, so that we can clearly focus on the strategy that Jesus used to give them secrets for life. Secrets so powerful that they would bring about a great harvest in their personal lives, as well as in his vast kingdom! The Lord wants you to know things that he is not revealing to those who don't value relationship with him.

Pay close attention to what you hear in your spirit as you fellowship with the Lord. Whether you hear a word in the busyness of a crowd or in the quiet place of prayer, be expectant! He is sharing secrets with his Kingdom citizens.

Luke 8:9-10
And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, he said "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God."
