SOUL CULTIVATION
This
is a wonderful time for nurturing your soul so that you can
experience the blessings of harvest. The harvest I am speaking
of is internal, but it's affect is so deep that it saturates every
area of your life. It is what I call “ SOUL CULTIVATION.” A
process of developing and refining your perspectives, and adjusting
your life to reach your ultimate purpose. In many ways, it is a
beautification process that affects the way you see, feel, and
respond to life. In this post my focus for you is three-fold.
Releasing your self from past experiences that drain you emotionally,
getting a fresh vision for your future, and keeping an attitude of
gratitude.
Releasing
your soul from negative past experiences is key to being able to
apprehend your purpose in life. Often, you may not realize that having a negative attitude, pulls your emotions and your mind into the past. Consequently, all of the emotions that accompanied the negative event that
occurred, become fresh. So, how do you release your soul from negative past
experiences? You must make a conscious effort to shift your thoughts
to what you desire, rather than what you have already
experienced. It would be helpful to find uplifting books to read,
inspiring music to listen to and purposefully filter the programs
that you watch. Make sure that you are filtering in positive words
and images into your mind, while detoxifying your thoughts from negative things.
Fresh
vision for your future will begin to arise in your heart as you
release yourself to your future. Letting go of the past is like
releasing a heavy ball & chain that pulled you down. Once the past
is released, you are free to reach for positive, uplifting
experiences. Begin to speak positively about your life and
circumstances. You may still feel tempted to say something negative,
as the past has a way of not wanting to let “you go;” however,
you are empowered from within to decide not only what you hold on to,
but, you can decide what has the power to hold you.
Gratitude
is a direct result of your perception. If you perceive that you are
blessed and fortunate to have made it to this point in your life, that
perception will be displayed in your attitude. The way that you
process events, people and situations, greatly influences your
emotional state of being and your attitude. Begin to say within yourself
that you are blessed to be alive, to have hope, to be in position for
change, and you will see your life shift in a positive direction. Never compare yourself
to others, but realize how uniquely you are made. Your entire life is
tailor-made.
