SHIFT YOUR THOUGHTS
© 2014 Esther Hunter

Changing the way that you see life requires a shift in the way that you think. If you believe that life is sweet and that defeat is not an option for you, then you will most likely experience victory. However, if your thoughts are constantly negative, it will be difficult for you to see life in a positive way. So how do you “Shift Your Thoughts?” Renew your mind by filling your thoughts with affirmations from Gods word. You have to purposefully, focus your thoughts on positive outcomes. Your mind is one of the most powerful tools that God has given you. With it, you can literally change the course of your entire life. It is beautiful...To be able to comprehend the vastness of creation, experience the beauty of a gentle breeze , or to enjoy the soft fragrance of a rose. How you perceive life is proof that your thoughts have a great impact on how you process experiences.

If you only see the thorns on a rose stem, you will never enjoy the beautiful fragrance that it produces. Be intentional about guarding your thoughts and fill your mind with things that are “...true, honest, lovely and of a good report (Philippians 4:8 KJV).” This is not to imply that you ignore the negative circumstances that come in life; but, it does mean that you refuse to allow the negative things to dictate the direction of your thoughts. If you only look at the problems, you will never discover their solution . You must look away from the problem to the grasp the answer. Keeping a positive view will expand your capacity to see the answers and keep your joy in the process...

Thought For Meditation:

Romans 12:2 The Message
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
